Michelle Apples from Behchoko hosted in Tofield, Alberta

Hello, it’s Michelle Apples from Behchoko, NT who lived in Tofield, Alberta for five weeks. I can say it was a great experience and one of the best summers of my life. I had gotten to make a friend whom now are my good friends and my buddie, Trina Qaqqaq was the best of the best. I loved spending my summer with her and my host family, the Dronklears were awesome. I can say, it was hard for me at first because I didn't know much about them and I asked questions but some questions I asked were rude, I thought it was weird because I usually ask everyone at home but than again,everyone at home is really close and we're a small community. I tried my best and that's all I could offer and I did not, will at least I tired my best again, to complain because they took us in.
          The things Trina and I did with the Dronklears is that we went shopping, went to Drumheller, and Jasper. I loved JASPER! It was beautiful! And shopping with Trina was great! We saw movies and talked. We also saw people we knew in West Edmonton Mall. It was also Trina's first time in Edmonton in which I thought was great because than I got to show her around since I knew a little bit more than her. I believe we also went to all the malls in Edmonton. I loved it, we saw the city side, with all the big buildings and some weird looking ones that were beautiful.
           My work placement was on a ranch. It was hard work everyday and by the time we got back to the house, I was ready to go to sleep. I loved my work, I loved horses now and want at least 5 when I get older. I also love kittens! Their so cute! The chickens scared me through...and when the cat catch a mouse is even more scary, lol.
          I love this summer. I also loved re-o. I miss everyone. :')
