Hey everyone, I'm Scott Sammurtok and I have been placed in beautiful Moncton, New Brunswick. I'm having a fantastic time here in Moncton, Meeting new peoples, Seeing new places that I have never ever seen before and trying out new fruits and food's that I've never seen or had before. It took a couple days to get to Ottawa from my home community Chesterfield Inlet. I had to stay a night in Rankin Inlet then two nights in Iqaluit. My first day of doing the volunteer work was amazing.
I am doing volunteer hours working in the parts department at the Subaru of Moncton and it is totally awesome. Everything is fascinating and completely different. Everything from junk food to furniture is very cheap compared to the prices back home, A case of pepsi only costs around $7.00 here in Moncton but back home it's between $30 - $35. I'd love to stock up on the cases of pop but I'd rather spend most of my $$ on useful items like clothing or stuff for my siblings. I am having a blast and I hope I get selected to participate in the International phrase of the Northern Youth Abroad program. More experience, Betterfuture. Miss you all and I'll see you at Re - Orientation.
