Hi, my name is Delta McKay from Fort Resolution, NT.
Over the summer i have been placed in Ottawa, ON with my placement buddy Heather. I really like it here in Ottawa there's so much to do. (: Shopping, Festivals, Movies and checking out the city and a couple of weekends we went out to our host families cottage out in Quebec, it's like so pretty there & we could go swimming in the lake, play badminton or just relax.(:
My job placement for the summer is at T.I (Tungasuvvingat Inuit) is pretty fun working there, we help out with food bank on some days, help with cooking on community kitchen days, and we got to go out and do yoga on parliment hill this week for work . (: Working at T.I is fun, my co-workers are trying to teach me some Inuktitut words, which i can not get the hang of.. lol and i'm learning like a lot about Inuit culture . (: oh & i looove that our bus stop is like right in front of tim hortons, we stop there and grab a coffee every morning. (:
A couple of weekends ago Heather and I went to a Lebanese Festival, it was really fun, there was rides, food & carnival games. (: I actually won one of the hardest games there! winning me a HUGE monkey. (: only problem is getting it back home .. lol
