Hello, My name is Heather Pope and I am from Norman Wells, NT
This summer I was placed in Ottawa, ON and it has been the best summer of my life so far, I met some pretty amazing people and I got to travel to such a wonderful city.
This summer I spent my days at T.I ( Tungasuvvingat Inuit) which is a Family Resource Center, and I met some pretty cool people learned some Inuktitut.
Me and my placement Buddy Delta went to a lot of movies this summer and we did some shopping, went to a festival ( Where Delta won me some prizes and almost got me killed... I hate going on scary rides... ) and we also chilled at Parliament Hill. We also went to out Host Parent's cottage in Quebec which is where I was able to put my french skills to the test I ordered Food in french at Timmies :) I felt very proud of myself :), and Their Cottage is soo pretty and the lake is so nice to go swimming in :) , had sooo much fun hanging out there on some weekends :).
My most favorite memory being here was getting to see an Old friend of mine :) that just made my life :),
We had so many adventures on this trip from getting lost on the bus to loosing each other at the festival to just being here :) I am soo happy that I got this chance to experience this wonderful adventure and I can't wait to see everyone back at camp in a week :)
