This is my Beautiful Blog.
Landing in Halifax, Nadine and i saw Sheila Richardson standing there. as i waved.
She was holding a Sign that had our names on it. I gave her hug and said it was finally good to meet her in person, we went to a restaurant and order something for lunch. As we ate at a table that had an umbrella over it to cover you fro the sun it was very hot too, and there were birds that were right beside us when we were eating, i threw fries on the table and it was eating it, it was cool , i thought it was funny. When we were done eating we walked back to the parking lot to Sheila's car and left to Wolfville.
When we got there , it was hot and very humid as well. but i liked it a lot . We got our things settled in and relaxed..i was tired from the traveling. We went to staples to check if Nadine can get her laptop fixed and we left back to Sheila's house. I couldn't sleep very good the first day but it was alright i tried to get use to the time in Wolfville.
Everything went well, there were times when i missed home but i never got home sick at all.
i had bad headaches and my ear was very sore. i didn't like the feeling at all. but i stuck with it and just thought about how many days til home. It made me smile, and i forgot about the bad feelings.
The funniest part was that i had to chase out the cats and they would just run underneath the tables, so i couldn't get them, they climbed out the window and come back climbing through again. it was tiring running after them. i sprayed them with a spray bottle that had water and they just ran away from me, now they see me they just stare.but it was also funny.
The most important thing that i did not like about wolfville is walking up the hill when you come back from stores or shopping. I really like driving around and taking pictures of things and places. It was nice when we went to the beach ,it was a good place to take pictures and the scenery was fantastic. I liked it there beside the beach because it was nice and cool.
I had one good day with just sheila and i, we laughed and she showed me places to take pictures.
Sheila and i went to a Chinese restaurant and had something to eat. Yum it was so good. Sheila is a nice and pretty person to be around with, i am glad that i met her and was placed with her. She is a wonderful person. thinking about it now, i am going to miss her when i leave. :)
About my work...
I met a lot of friendly people they are all very nice,i enjoyed the running around mostly fixing the box office. I had a good and nice work experience with everyone At Ross Creek Center For The Arts. i watched the Awesome play called BEOWULF it was very good and the cast were very good actors. i liked it a lot. Before i go i really want to watch it again.
I enjoyed everything that i did. but i wish it was more about music. I saw art work that people did at the Ross Creek it was very nice.
There were some days were i didn't go to work because i got sick and didn't want to do anything at all. There were times where i did want to go home, But i called home and talked to some family members, they told me to stick it out because i am not a quitter . So i just stuck to it and thought about it , i told myself that i can do it. I know that i will be proud of myself when i am done the Canadian Phase.
I really like Wolfville because its not that noisy and they are less sirens around Wolfville. I just hope to get over my shyness and try to talk more to people. I noticed that i am very quite and i never really talk. But i just recently noticed now that i am talking more.
i think i learned some new words that i can take back to my hometown ( Fort Providence,NT ).
I love The Northern Youth Abroad Program.
i am glad that i did it...And i never gave up!
I think i might of Belt A stronger me :)
Thanks so much.
Sincerely,
